Nothing to say: Tuesday Edition - featuring Sarah Palin

Sleep deprived and stressed out.  Pretty much gnawed a hole in my tongue trying to stifle curse words 'cuz the dye sub printer is being a snotwad.  Piddled through about $400 (seriously!) worth of ink trying to get the nozzles unclogged.  So in lieu of the usual juvenile Obama-poking posts I'm known for, here's some random stuff for your consideration:

I hear that Palin is coming to Eugene, which is not quite an hour south of where I'm at.  Haven't heard the reason, whether it is a speech or a TP rally or ???.  But she's saying NO photos, NO press, NO questions, NO recording devices.  I still like her, but this is hollywood diva crap I can do without...  Also - Fox News appearances AND a nature show on Discovery Channel AND speeches here, there, and everywhere?   "OVEREXPOSED" applies to you Sarah, just as much as it applies to me when I go out in public wearing only a speedo and pointy elf shoes.
---

This bothers me.  I'm no fan of the ghey rights issue.  Up to me, I'd say keep it in the closet and shut up already.  But it isn't up to me.  Besides, I'm not really a culture warrior.  I'm more of a liberty warrior, and the idea of cops ordering the press to disperse for no good reason is just, so, so, umm, can I say "fascist" on this blog?

Andy has a neat story from a couple days ago, about rehabbing an owl.

OregonGuy encounters some infuriating welfare state nonsense.  Click through to the newspaper article to see what fun we have here in Oregon.

Classicaliberal has a trivia contest going.  WAY more challenging than mine.

And one last thing - GO BLAZERS!

  1. You're doing pretty well on the trivia. You're also in the lead. Don't give up and don't settle. I'd like for you to come up with the answers, then we can do an interview style post on who the quotes were from and what the lesson to take away from them should be.

    And, thanks for the link!!

  3. $400 seems like a lot of ink to piddle. I would see a doctor. And maybe you and Palin should trade outfits cause if Sarah Palin showed up in speedos and elf shoes, "overexposed" wouldn't be the word I would use. Also, go suns.

  5. Inno...Palin is a mystery to me, too. There's just that "something" that I can't put my finger on.

Do you have photos of you in a speedo & elf shoes? Just curious...

I already lost the trivia contest at CL's place. I just flipped a coin on 'em...usually works about as well for me.

And, thanks for the link, sir!

  6. How often do you go out in your speedo and elf shoes anyway ?

  7. Dude, it's sorta slow for me too. After the Tea Party, I found myself sorta wondering what I was gonna talk about.

Then I watched Jon Stewart do something dumb and I was annoyed and inspired.

  8. As for the gay "Servicemembers" protesting at the White House, the following must be kept in mind.

    1) If they are Vets it is a violation of the UCMJ to protest in uniform. They could (and should in my opinion) be recalled to active duty and court martialed.

    2) If they are not Vets, it is now a felony to portray yourself as a vet by wearing the uniform. Again, they should be prosecuted.

  9. I like Palin a lot, but I've got to agree with you, Inno, I'm experiencing Palin overload and could use a break.

  10. Heard this on the Gibson radio show.

    Go to Google.

    Enter Goldman Sachs SEC.

Click on link on the top of the page that says "Help Wall Street Change."

When you click, Google charges the Democrats twenty bucks.

    Cool, huh?

  11. classicaliberal - that was a tough quiz!

Teresa - That is true. I still like her. But while I also like a good plate of spaghetti, I don't want to eat it every meal. That's kind of where I'm at with Palin

JBomb - Doc says everything is fine as long as it doesn't last longer than 4 hours. I'm not offended by your "go suns" as I know you couldn't possibly like that foul offal heap of a team. I know you're just trying to bait me, and I won't fall for it! :)

labcat - that's an unpleasant visual at any hour!

Andy - Pics? The old saying is "she has a face that could stop a clock." For me it is "he has a body that makes cameras spontaneously implode."

Odie - I wear that stuff to the hippie organic store across the street and they give me discounts on the free-range rutabagas!

Shamus - I'll be over in a few minutes to see what J-Hole inspired.

George - Hmmm. Everybody involved in this case is in some way a weasel.

1TC - Great minds, yadda yadda!

OG - this is going to cost a lot of barrybucks! I guess we've already passed their budget threshold, as the sponsored link stopped appearing.

  12. Yeah, OregonGuy, I clicked through the sponsored link. Then posted your suggestion on my pitiful little blog.

When I went back, it looks like they've taken it down. Crud...I was gonna have some fun. Killjoys!
